Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Silver disc - very hard to ascertain the size, but I have had stupid comments when telling people about it such as them suggesting it was a frisbie - I was only young but not an idiot!

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

It simply flew over the park and beyond until out of sight.

It was a good sighting because it was broad daylight on a sunny day in the park (so no tricks of light involved) and the many people in the park that day were all watching it fly over us. It was so vivid and there were so many witnesses I am fascinated to know if anyone else has ever reported it. The date I gave (1979-1980) is approximate. P.S. I am not suggesting it was from another planet, I am just saying what I saw, maybe there are geniuses at work on this planet that haven't shared their knowledge of physics. I believe it involves a leap of faith to say it was alien, but I am open-minded.
