Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

It looked like a realy bright star. It wasd quite far off. there was only one but then it "broke up" into three seperate things. My husband first said that it was a satelite as is was moving at a consistant spead in a straight line before it broke up.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

After it broke up the main one "hovered" and other two sped off VERY fast in opisite directions, it stayed there for about 15 minutes before the other two returned. they then joined up again and kinda "zig zagged" very quickly across the sky before disapearing. It did NOT fly away into the distance. IT DISAPEARED!

Any additional comments :

We did not se it from close up we only saw it in the sky. In this part of africa thre are not very many people and losta lights and we were there looking at the stars. It appeared to be a star like the dog star but only about 20 times brighter and quite a bit bigger.
