What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Sort of hexagonal shaped, travelling at around the same speed and height as a commercial airliner. also made the same noise. Purple with yellow markings, metallic base made up of squares (sunlight reflected off - was nearly sunset), yellow lights out front. heading west. Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

no, just flew overhead
