Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Squashed bell shape, it was a bronze colour, the underneath burnt black, size unable to make a guess due to height,when looking at it,the size was of about a large dinner plate.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

There were three of us sat in my car,just looking across the sea towards the Isle of Wight, when we all noticed a stange object move fast the stop dead and hover. We all admitted that we had never seen anything like it in our lives before, that was capable of doing that kind of manouver, it started across the Solent water towards us,and we became exited to think at least we can put the sighting to rest, that it would be something we could relate to. Now over my car, we got out to look, it frightened my then girlfriend so much she got back in the car and locked all the doors,this left the two of us my mate, and I looking up at the UFO, the outside of the craft was spinning, it split in half with bright green light, then the lights pulsated, as the outside slowed down travelling around the outside of the craft. while this was going on Les and I, were having a running commentary as to what we could see, neither of us believing it at all, it felt like watching a sience fiction film on a large sreen. Anyway, the slowing of the outside of the UFO, showed that there were holes outside, that matched what looked like portholes within the craft, eventually they lined up perfectly, leaving us looking at a craft that was unidentifiable,most definately not from this World looking down at us, I should have added that the UFO when it arrived was vertical, but then tilted while hovering, to an angle letting us see the side view.The portholes lined up, and the inside was lit by the brightest green light, I had ever seen, though able to see through the port holes we saw no persons, or life at all, it stayed like that for about 3 minutes, then the outside started spinning, speeding up producind moving pulsating green lights around the craft, then splitting it in two as the outside got faster, then no lights, just the craft hovering in a tilt position it then left, it went from the size mentioned, to nothing in 2 seconds travelling vertical, I have never forgotten it as the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life, it made no sound at all, the memory will live with me forever, and I count myself lucky to have whitnessed it.I still watch the Skies hoping that when I see the next I will be able to Video it.

Yes this took place in early evening light in the Summertime, at a place called Gillkicker,Stokes Bay, Gosport Hampshire England
