Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Long thin (horizontally), grey/metallic in colour (no markings), and it seemed to reflect the sun slighty. It was a perfect evening and blue sky, and the object stood out. It was high up..not the height of a high altitude aircraft, but the height of the domestic aircraft that fly into the east coast of N.Ireland, as they near the airports. As i looked up, i had initially thought it was an aircraft, but noticed that it wasnt moving across the sky. I have a habit of trying to identify the aircraft company markings on the commercial planes (Easyjet/Flybe etc), but realised this didnt have any..it was of uniform colour. After a few seconds i realised that the object didnt even have visible wings or rear rudder...and wasnt moving in any direction.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

From the sighting i had, the object did not move, but appeared static. I had been watching it in the clear blue sky as i drove up a quiet, open, coastal road..but had to take my eyes off it momentarily as i approached a bend. My eyes were off the object for approximately 5 seconds. I was just about to point it out to my partner, who was in the passenger seat, when i looked up and it was gone. I couldnt believe it. I immediately pulled into a car park, got out of the car and looked up. There wasnt anything to be seen in the sky at all, in any direction! There was no possible way, even if this could have been an aircraft, that it could have totally disappeared from sight in the few seconds or so i took my eyes off it. As i've said, the sky was perfectly blue and clear of clouds, and i could see for miles. This was definitely no aircraft.
