What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Triangular. Difficult to judge size. My guess, about a bus length.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

No. It moved slowly in a southernly direction.

Any additional comments :

No sound heard. It had 2 poles or stick like things with red lights coming out of one side. It was dusk and quite clear. Strange markins on the underside. It appered to be black/dark in colour. I foud years later, that 3 major airports had tracked it.
