Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

At 12.22 am three(3)crescent shapes with either a circle or ovoid at the midpoint of the crescent, protruding slightly from the body of the crescent itself. The size seemed to be similar to or possibly slighhtly bigger than a commercial aircraft at a similar height.The objects were light orange in colour but brighter and clearer than any thing else in the sky st the time.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

The three objects appeared suddenly just to north of the plough at what appeared to be average aircraft height, possibly higher which makes size difficult to judge, at first the action in moving around each other using what seemed to be quite small turning circles for conventional aircraft the three objects at first put me in mind of birds circling each other I remembered thinking this while trying to justify what birds I could think of in nature that were brightly luminous. My eyes said I was watching three phoenix's at play while my rational mind immidiatly dismissed the notion. The objects after 10 to 15 seconds closed togher into a broad angle v formation, and moved in a straight flightpath to the east, taking them just over or to the south of Stansted airport. The formation changed again after about another 1o seconds where the object at the left position of the v moved ahead of and changed places to the right arm of the v anhil the other two objects moved slightly left so that the left hand object that changed places would continue the original flight path of the of the object it had changed places with while the object that did occupy the central position took up the flightpath of the original left hand object. The v formation then became a amaller angle the difference between a boomerang angle and a letter v angle. they then continued for another 7 to 10 seconds at a regular speed in this formation until out of sight due to buildings obstructing observation. The entire sighting from sudden appearance untill out of observable range was 55 to 60 seconds.

I thought long and hard about contacting the airport police, but at this time I have not done so. It is now nearly an hour and a half since the sighting, the weather is fine with very little cloud cover, the wind is mild and northerly making the direction of the objects across the prevailing the wind direction. Living near the airport I constantly see aircraft, both in day and at night, I recognise all the usual things, landing lights reflected off clouds, light glinting off aircraft at high altitudes, this was nothing of that nature. They were not baloons or conventional aircraft, untill they fixed a straight course, their actions were as my first impression states, that their movements resembled more that of impossibly large luminous birds, than anything manmade that obeyed normal newtonian forces. I am posting this at such a late hour so that you can be sure the event is fresh in my mind as I make this statement. I have reffered to original notes and drawings I made minutes after the sighting, I would be happy to provide a copy if useful.
