What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

This is difficult to describe, but I'll try...Back on June 30th this past summer, myself and my husband were on the beach in Charlestown R.I. at around 10:45pm.enjoying a balmy summer evening with clear skies. Block Island is only 14 miles due south and at night it can easily be mistaken to be much closer, but what a sight with all the lights and light houses, I would later come to realize how important the light houses would be.There were some guys surf fishing about 50,60 yards awat and my husband went to go see how they were doing and it was then that I began gazing up at the stars. Over the southwestern tip of the island I noticed three orange/red colored lights equal in size, shape but most of all distance between them.Now my referance point was the southwestern tip of the island okay so I was looking at something that was really, really far away because it only covered a space of maybe 2 inches but the way this thing moved was absolutely astonishing. This thing was appearing and diappearing... it would be here, then a milisecond later it would be over there, then re-appear over here then disappear and appear over here and it was happening very fast and like I said it only covered an area of maybe 2 inches at best because I was using the island and one of the light houses as a referance point. After abuot 4 to 5 min. of watching this thing, the erratic movements stopped and it just stayed still for about 5-6 seconds and then just shot straight up and literally faded as it ascended in about 2-3 seconds...gone.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

Like I described it did just that...it zoomed off in about 3 seconds and actually faded as it zoomed off.And again like I said it moved so fast, it seemed as though it was appearing then re-appearing in very erratic movments.This thing had to be really far away because it only covered a space of may 2 inches from my referance point.

The stangest part about this whole experience is that It's like it knew I was watching it. The sighting itself does not bother me at all, but that part will always scare me... I'm telling you, it knew I was there.
