What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

orange ball.Like a very bright star. Through binoculars looked firey. 3no, 1no at a time, each appeared at about 2 o'clock in the sky tracked across to about 10 o'clock for 2-3 mins and faded before a few minutes later the next one appeared.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

No. Acted like a satellite followed a consistent arc. Possibly a meteoride!

It was a clear starlit night and there were no flashing lights like one sees on aeroplanes.
