Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

circular with a lower side that was pointed, looked diamond shaped. It was all dark except in the pointed lower half which had two blue and one red light. These were not spot lights but seemed to be integral to the craft.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

There were about 5 of these craft, It is such a long time ago my memory is a bit vague now. Anyway, they were in procession and were only moving quite slowly at first. I was amazed at the sight. I was then even more amazed as 5 jet fighters came into view and the 5 alien craft shot off at great speed. The jet aircraft had no chance of catching them.

Any additional comments :

There were 2 more of the alien craft at a much higher altitude. These seemed to be a different shape to the nearby craft. They also dissappered soon after the jet fighters appeared. I was amazed that there were no reports in the local newspapers, or at least I did'nt see any. My sighting was around 11:30 as I walked my dog on the local cricket field.
