What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

like the star of venus only 3 times larger, over winter hill, it glowed like a amber light.could not see any shape but it had no other lights blinking on it. looked like a jumbo jets main lights heading straight at you but moving from left to right and then away without decreasing in the intensity of its light.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

looking from south east of winter hill near Ashton. it pased over the horizon in a southerly direction starting at 19:30 hours from a point half a mile from the radio transmitter it crossed the horizon in 2 mins like a plane then travelled east behind the hill. it returned 30mins later and repeated the manouver only more higher in the sky. I presumed it was a helicopter's search light but the next day it returned at the same time and repeated the same flight. Then it appeared the next day also it passed over the hillside from my location from left to right, dissapeared came back again only this time it was strobeing its light 3 seconds lit 3 seconds unlit, like a egg/ball shaped blimp but glowing, i had a torch by my bedside and a pair of binocculars,i was a bit bored so i flashed my torch through the window at the light blinking prime numbers 1-7 that as i thought would do nothing, so i matched it's strobing and after a few more blinks of light a large arangement of lights appeared just behind and to the right of winter hills lit up radio transmiter it was i guess 4 storeys high in distance between each of the 4 red lights, pyrimid shaped it just hovered near the top of the mast for 30 sec blinking its four lights on and off in some kind of sequence or its lights may have been obscured by the low clowd, then it just dissapeared. havent seen it since.

i've looked recently at winter hill, i live about 5 miles from there and at a distance if you know of a craft that can appear glow red lights like an upturned square and just vanish then you know somthing i dont about aircraft, i dont know anything that big that can hover in the sky. did'nt report it before. sorry dont know exact date end of september early october because i never thought i would type this. years ago in gale force weather when i was about 23 on a field near me at abuot midnight overhead flew a triangular shaped craft bigger than a jumbo with 3 red lights it made no noise and headed in a Plat Bridge direction. did not report that either. email not supplied as i do not have one, i'm using a friends computer. sorry.
