What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
At first I thought it was a ball of flame, much larger than your normal metoerite, or possibly a plane on fire, but it was moving too slowly. Low cloud cover. Appeared to be flying in more or less a straight line from north to south. Flew directly overhead and went behind a large tree and houses behind my house. It took long enough for me to call my 2 children 18 and 10 years old from the living room. Approximately 10 pm.
Seemed to hover slightly before moving in a slow southerly and downwards direction towards the local Sutton Coldfield TV transmitter.
