What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
It looked like a classic flying saucer just like you see in the movies. It was completely silent. My brother and I have different memories. His seem clearer than mine. The way I remember it, we were walking home together down 896. He pointed to it, I looked over, and it was hovering silently over the townhouses of Stonethrow. People were coming out and looking up at it. It hovered there for a while and then moved instantly to the top of Iron Hill. It went in a straight line and made no noise. I do not remember seeing any lights.
See above. The strangest part of this experience is that the day after, there were reports in the newspapers that hundreds of people saw it. But now I cannot find any of those articles in any archives. Also, I had weird experiences AFTER the sighting. For one, I completely blanked it out until my brother mentioned it to me more than 20 years later. I don't remember being in my bedroom, but I do remember standing next to him out on the side of 896.

Not sure of the time. Darrell says it was when he got off of work, so that could be true. I thought it was after we got off from school, around 2:30/2:45 because that is when we walked home. And it was not winter, I am thinking it may have been in April or May. But not sure. I have very disconnected memories of some weirdness around my neighborhood directly after this event but I can't honestly say that I experience them or dreamt/hallucinated them. I think it's really weird that I totally blocked this memory for such a long time. Because of this, I do believe that people can have repressed memories that stay hidden for many years or even a lifetime, if what they saw or experienced was too shocking for them to process at the time.
