What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
a group of approximately 10-12 bright regular lights, moving in a shallow arc across the sky from west to east. They moved steadily and appeared to be self powered. They appeared to be 10000 to 15000 ft up Two adults saw them for several minutes, moving steadily and quite fast until they disappeared behind trees
no - see above. They were not in a straight line. Some were higher than others and there was a small group of about five in a rough almost diamond formation. They were not regularly spaced apart.

We wondered if this was a 'display' connected with the Tiour de France or Live Earth - but why at that time? Have not heard or read of anyone seeing these.
