Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Five red/orange lights, quite large in comparison to aircraft lights, for example. They were quite widely spaced in the sky and moving slowly, roughly all in the same direction but not synchronised.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

By the time I had found somewhere to pull the car over one of the lights had disappeared and another faded as I watched as if receding.

I see several other people have posted sightings of muliple orange lights in different parts of the country. has anyone a rational explanation for this?
