What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
3 orange lights - would have said the distance between the lights (forming a triangle) would have been larger than an airplane.
flying in a straight line but during flight, the lights formed a perfect triangle. One light moved in relationship to the others and reformed triangle then as passed and flew into distance, the lights changed formation and flew completely vertical to each other. It was a quiet night and there was no engine sound at all. Other than the lights no other sound or visable craft was seen.

Was a very clear night. Stars were visable and at one point the triangle of lights passed across a star but did not block it out which eliminated it being an aircraft. Also the lack of engine noise.
