What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
Three six feet diameter balls of intense white light which were transparent as I could see right through one to the side of the road.
They were flying in parallel and the base of the middle one hit the bottom of my car with a loud bang.The one to the right of me I could see right through it to the side of the road.I did not see the one to the right of me as it was further over and partly hidden by a hedge. Then all three climbed to the left to about 100 feet and then did a right angled turn and skimmed over some trees at rock hill.The area which had been lit up like daylight was plunged back into complete darkness.

By a coincidence this happened opposite my father's house which was high up on the other side of the valley and on the other side of the river Exe.I was amazed that I could see everthing in his garden quite clearly like the garden roller outside the summer house which would have been otherwise impossible as it was a very dark night.I have always been puzzled as to how these balls of light with seemingly no mass were able to travel through the air at 60 mph and the way they acted intelligently changing formation together.The location was four miles outside Tiverton,Devon,England on the road to Bampton and Stoodleigh Bridge at Rock Hill.Even after all this time I am still gobsmacked by what happened on that night.
