What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Orange coloured, cone shaped, no lights flashing etc

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

No, it flew NOISELESSLY from a SW direction to the North. It did appear to be a constant speed, height and as it flew away the light got dimmer and finally dissappeared, visable for about 3 minutes in all.

Any additional comments :

Would estimate height around 1000 to 2000 ft, speed not particularly fast. My partner saw more than me and described it as an orange cone shape, there were no more visable colours. Just never seen anything like it!!
