What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
I was camping in a tent so could only see rotating coloured lights flashing through the tent.
The UFO was making a wirling sound with rotating flashing lights, the wirling decreased and the sound diminished and it appeared to have landed in the field my friend and I was camping in.

I can't remember the exact date as it happened so long ago. It occured in Paignton, Devon, in a field on a camp site. I can remember it was April 1984 and 1 week before the official camping site was open. I had travelled down with a friend and the owner of the camp site allowed us to pitch our tent although the site was closed. We both saw the lights and heard the noise, but were too scared to look outside the tent. The UFO seemed to have landed in the same field, we were the only ones using the field. We were both frozen with fear, so can't say exactly how long the UFO stayed on the ground. It could have been 5 minutes or 30 minutes, but we both heard the wirling noise start up and the lights started to flash again and it took off and dissapeared. We both felt that we had lost some time but can't believe that we fell asleep.
