It was a black orb which looked approximately the size of a football.
The UFO was dead still but floating approximately 80ft in the air.

I saw it as I was travelling home from work at approximately 20:10 hours on a summer evening in 2003 (was light). The exact date given is approximate. I travelled westbound on St. Crispins road over the Magdalen Street flyover, crossed the roundabout continuing on St. Crispins Road and saw the UFO to my left. It was approximately 80ft in the air and dead still. It caught my attention because it looked odd and unexplainable. I drove slowly passed to keep an eye on it as I was trying to work out an explanation. There was nothing underneath or around the UFO which could explain it being attached to something. Could it be an illusion caused by the sun setting (which was dead ahead of me)? I reached the roundabout at Halfords and u-turned to head eastbound so I could then turn onto Oak Street and head north to the Drayton High Road. The object could still be seen when coming in the opposite direction - so I know it wasn't an illusion. At the time I was a little scared but in hindsight I wish I had got out and investigated further as I've never seen a UFO before or since.
