Sighting Details

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

Hard to see clearly, but was a steady orange light with no other lights such as navigation or marker lights as a normal aircraft would have had. Seemed to be at around 1500 to 2000 feet agl.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

airspeed seemed higher than a normal aircraft

estimated at around 3 to four miles from my viewpoint. I am a qualified aircraft engineer, so know that what i saw appeared not to be a standard aircraft.
