What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :

It looked like a saucer. Maybe 1/3rd of the size of a football pitch. It seemed darker on the lower half compared to the top

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

It appeared to be hovering over a housing estate.

I wasn't the only person to have seen it. Later in the evening a good friend of mine rang me up and told me he had seen it too.
