Sighting Details
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
two orange lights in sky at approx 45deg due north travelling east to west before disapearing north at same angle.
first object hovered and appeared to wait for second object before both lights disapeared at aircraft velocity into hazy cloud. the orange light was of constant brightness despite the apparent aspect which should have changed as the object changed direction this would indicate that the light was not from the after burners of a normal aircraft.

i am a serving military officer and i have not experienced any aircraft that behaved in that way except for fast attack helicopters that do not normally operate over portsmouth.
