Sighting Details

1 What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour :
A bright ball of blue-white light that appeared out of nowhere, flashing between Merak and Talitha, but well below the troposphere, at an approximate altitude of 6000 feet. It was big - and if I held a tennis ball in my out-stretced arm, it would have just about covered it. Within the light I perceived a spherical structure.

2Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly :

The UFO shot of toward 21 Lyncis in a horizontal direction leaving a red-orange trail. However this was not a meteorite - there were time artefacts in the motion; both the acceleration and trail were similar to the SFX in the title sequence to StarTrek.

3How long did you see the UFO for :

00:00:03 -hh:mm:ss

Any additional comments :

The object was also seen by my partner and observed from our back garden. The sighting occurred during the Frome carnival - a procession of brightly lit floats that wind up The Butts. There was loud music and a palpable sense of energy that I'm sure the UFO picked up. Why? Because we saw one exactly the same time last year during carnival - and that UFO was also seen from our back garden; this time we were waiting - sitting on chairs with binoculars - because we knew it would appear. I shall ignore any comments from so called "parapsychologists" such as Wiseman and French, who are always more than happy to point out that what we see or experience is merely a biological result of what our brains expect. We know what we saw on both occasions. (I reported last year's sighting on this site but never received an acknowledgment). Please note that I can only communicate with email clients that OpenPGP aware.
