Pentagon UAP office seeks access to the largest private UFO archive
AARO, the Pentagon’s UAP office, plans a sole-source contract for a subscription to the archives of the National UFO Historical Records Center, according to a Defense Department contracting notice. It wants records from before 1990 in particular, to meet Congress’s requirement that it review US government involvement with UAP since 1945. A department official describes the centre, founded by historian David Marler, as holding the world’s largest private collection, including files from Project Blue Book scientist J. Allen Hynek. The contract would run one year with four optional one-year extensions; the Pentagon did not disclose the cost.
