Couple describe silver 'bullet' object overtaking a jet over Whitchurch, Devon
Mike Ingram and Carol Cooper say they watched a fast-moving, bullet-shaped object cross the sky above their home in Whitchurch, near Tavistock, on 4 October. Cooper told the Tavistock Times Gazette it was 'a very large silver bullet travelling very fast... rounded at the front and back, like a bullet or a capsule,' with two faint horizontal lines and no tail or wings, which veered right, climbed and appeared to catch up with and pass over a passenger jet's vapour trail. The couple say their own research points to a military aircraft, with its smooth, 'stealthy' shape and radar-reflecting surface accounting for what they saw.
