It was a RED light that blinked throughout its flight from East to West.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
It was moving at a great speed (more than any normal flights I have seen or travelled in)

Just for the records I am an Eclectronics engineer working as a Project Manager in an IT MNC company. I am also an ameature astronomer and am currently building my own 6" Newtonian Reflector telescope.
