A very bright white light high up in the sky
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
It appeared to be a very bright star, but then it shot across the sky at such a rate that it appeared as a line in the sky. It stopped without slowing and hovered for 20-30 seconds before taking off again, just as fast, in a different direction. It never turned corners, but had short bouts at lightening speed then immediate stops.
Any additional comments:
There were a group of about 7 of us all watching together and we all saw it, so it could not have been anyones imagination.
