CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
4 police officers witnessed a diamond shaped object hovering in a valley near Woolsingham in County Durham.
They used their vehicle lights to illuminate the object which was approx 14m in length. It had green lights on each side with a red/white one in the centre. The object was silent. When the lights from the vehicles hit the object it moved slowly away over the ridge to the north towards Burhnhope.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
It was stationary when it the officers 1st saw it. But moved away when the lights illuminated it. It was dark in colour except for the lights.
Any additional comments:
Air traffic at both Durham Tees Valley and Newcastle were contacted who had not seen anything on radar, but RAF Flyingdales the early warning station wanted to know the officers details who had witnessed the sighting, and what they had seen down to the exact map co-ordinates. All 4 officers including 2 dog handlers decided not to go any further into the hills that night?
