What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
bright white light, brighter than aircraft with landing lights, and a lot brighter than a star.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
continued east for 10 seconds, moving very fast, away from approaching aircraft (possibly 2 miles away), looked to gain altitude until lights not visble.
