SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at Birmingham, UK

There were three white lights, in a triangular formation. Each light was about the size of the end of a pencil held at arms length.

The object moved in an easterly direction, in total silence.

I was walking the dog and he stopped to 'do his business'. I turned to see why the dog had stopped and, as I turned back, I spotted the object. It consisted of three bright white lights in a triangular formation and moved (eastward) in total silence, and disappeared over the houses that were under construction. I hurried down to the spot where it had disappeared but couldn't see it. When I got home, (in the next street) my wife had also seen a strange light, shining on our car. She went out to see what it was, thinking it may have been children playing with a torch,(flashlight) but saw nothing.

It definitely was no normal aircraft. We see aircraft taking off and landing at Birmingham airport on a daily basis, and also the police and air-ambulance helecopters and this was neither. I can tell aircraft and helecopters apart, due to my army training (9 years service) and I can honestly say that this object was like nothing I have ever seen before.
