SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at witchampton/ dorset

bright orange orb, high in the sky, traveling fast in a straight line, not so bright you couldnt look at it, but bright.

this object traveled in a straight line overhead but then seemed to stop in the sky a long way from us, perhaps ten miles away,it then seemed gradualy fade.

we were sat in the beer garden of our local pub (yes drinking,no not that much)someone shouted look a shooting star, my interest was aroused because it stayed in the sky to long to be a shooting star. we watched it travel straight over head, an orange translucent ball, it appeared to be high in the sky but bigger than a plane would be at that altitude, i thought maybe a comet of some description but there was no trail, ithought maybe the space shuttle reentering but i understand that landed over a week ago, i also considered maybe a super hot jet of some description but it made no sound. it appeared to be travelling at a realy fast pace, but after it passed over head seemed to stop about ten or twenty miles away, still very high, and gradualy faded.
