Well i live over a flight path for teeside airport so am use to seeing planes fly over head. And it was definitly not a plane.
I saw lights over the distance and they were moving rapidly in the sky. To start off with i thought it was a police helicopter but my girlfriend who is a pilot herself dismissed this. She was also baffled. It was like three lights dancing in the sky moving towards eachother then away.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
they were hovering, then moving, then hovering. All in quick sucession. Then the lights seperated then dissapeared.
