CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
Shape was like a disc, with the lower front quadrant illuminated very briefly. When illuminated it reminded me of a fluorescent light (brightness and color). Size of the illuminated portion was relative to a pencil eraser at arms length with the upper portion flat. The remainder of the object was one and one half times that of the eraser at arms length.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
I observed it only when the illumination took place,it was moving very rapidly West to East and the sky was dark with many stars out.
Any additional comments:
Absolutely no noise was emitted. No background noise was heard from cars,planes or any other noises other than birds. It was a perfectly quiet night. There was a plane in the sky going probably SE to NW at a high altitude southwest of the object, probably at 30,000 feet or so. I would estimate the object was at about 1,500 to 3,000 feet. I only saw it and the outline when the front lower section illuminated and then it turned off. Not a landing light for any aircraft I have ever seen, did not have a beam of light.
