What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
sphere, brilliant white, a marble in size, height between two - three thousand feet. no noise or trail of any kind.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
just appeared in the east and travelled across the sky in a westerly direction.
Any additional comments:
kept this to myself all these years may be of interest since I sighted the object, it was a clear November sky,no moon if I remember, where I was standing at the time is the highest point on Walney Island ajoining Barrow in Furness,I viewed the sphere which came from the east of Barrow travelled across the night sky across my position and carried on over the Irish sea until it went out of sight,the speed was far superior to any aircraft of that time, from east to the horizon of the Irish sea at most six seconds,a brilliant white sphere, no vapour trail or noise, being involved in flying that's how I could roughly state the height of two - three thousand feet, as for the actual size of object unknown only at the time marble size.
