CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
Silver/white disc, no discernible wings, lights or markings. Couldn't judge the size, but slightly later observations of airliners in the same part of the sky would indicate that it was much smaller (or very much higher). Almost directly overhead. Appeared to be travelling at very high speed, slightly erratic course, from North West to South East. No accompanying sounds or contrails/vapour trails. Sky was very clear/ sunny weather.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
No, but it disappeared from view in an instant. Can't explain this!
Any additional comments:
The only possible explanation I can think of is that it was a small jet travelling at very high altitude. However, if it was, it's speed must have been phenomenal!
