CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
It looked like a star in size. I first thought it was part of the great bear constellation but then it moved off and started travelling at great speed from west to east.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
As above it moved across the sky as if it was a star moving across the sky but then it flashed red and quickly disappeared. The speed was the fastest I ever seen.
Any additional comments:
I was out in my back garden, it was dark, and just before I seen the UFO a saw what I thought was a shooting star moving north to south. That's why I happened to be looking at the sky. I live on the flightpath to Edinburgh airport so I'm used to the normal flight paths of planes in the area but I've nevr seen a plane in that part of the sky. Planes using the flightpath I'm under take off into the wind and always appear from the east but this object was in the west. I thought it might be a satilite.
