CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
I saw a brief flash while star watching which caught my attention. Rather like a flash camera going off in the far distance. I watched the spot for about 2 seconds then saw what appeared to be a tiny star move quickly. Far too fast for it to be a satellite. It didn't accelerate, it just went.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
It appeared to move in a straight line from S.E. of Norwich towards the W. in a viewing arc of perhaps 45 degrees. It then changed direction to the W.S.W without turning in the normal manner. It just changed direction about 60 degreed just like that. The direction it took was similar to the US aircraft from Lakenheath that overfly Norwich. It was definitely not an aircraft though.
Any additional comments:
It was impossible to calculate the height. I can only say it was very, very high. At normal cruising altitude for an airliner, the object would have been moving at around 7 - 10,000 mph easily. Obviously if it was higher, the speed would have been far greater.
