CSIGHTING DETAILS

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
I was dark but the objects in the sky were unmistakable. They looked like thin strips of light (certainly not a star) but with 2 more prominent lights.
Two of them, I saw were perhaps a little closer and had patterned lights flashing - there was no way this could have been confused with a plane, due to the length fo time it was in the sky and the irratic movement. IT was hovering and banking, and drifted from the East to West, until I could no longer see it.
The movement of these things was clear to see if you took a point of reference, like a tree or corner of the house - I did however feel like some of the movement was following the rotation of the earth, sue to the gradual movement across the sky - BUT the irratic movement was unmistakable.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
There were many of these lights in the sky last night - I am 100% positive due to the irratic movements, very jerky. One of them (I counted between 10-20 in the sky, all moving very slightly but fluidly) suddenly flashed away in a straight line, causing a streak of light to follow in its' path.

Any additional comments:
I am a rational person and I have no idea what I was looking at last night, but I am 100% convinced that they were not stars, or metoer showers, or anything else that I could explain. I know what stars look like, and these were not them.
If you have any other reports from the Clapham Common area from last night, I would be interested in hearing back.
