What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
Just looked like a bright planet (perhaps venus) with another dimmer one about a degree lower in the sky.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
No just lasted a few seconds(after I noticed it) and gradually faded away..
Any additional comments:
was about 30 degrees from horison in a SSE direction, I was looking at meteors then noticed them (because I knew they weren't normally there), I'm used to looking in the sky and I know this was unusual - I suppose they could, in theory, have been simultaneous iridium flares, but I think thats pretty unlikley - but does give you an idea what it looked like...
