It looked disk shaped, silver with red, white and green lights.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:

Me & my boyfriend were in my back garden having a cigarette when he pointed towards a bright light in the sky. Immediately instinct kicked in and I said it was the moon but then he said “look closer its spinning” I looked closer and so it was, also I noticed some lights on the object, they were white, red and what I thought to be green. We gazed at the object for the space of 20 minutes at least and in this time, the object seemed to have slowly moved along the sky from east to west and the lights enhanced. It looked as if the object was growing closer and resembled the light imagery seen when the sun sets behinds clouds releasing beams of light. The object within time seemed to have split in two, the original object and a smaller version. In order to get a closer look, we rushed upstairs to get a glance out of the upstairs window and by the time we had got the objects were no were to be seen, nor a segment of the light projected.
