SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at near Greenbelt, MD

Not a UFO, just unexplainable lights. I was driving to work, suddenly pulsing brilliant white light everywhere, so bright I couldn't tell where it was coming from. In that instant, saw dazzling beyond description multicolored lights to the right side of the road. As I was coasting now in my car, alternating quickly between looking at the road and toward the lights, I could make out a singular origin/point of a tremendous bright light shining through the trees, silhouetting some of them with a glow in the fog. As I coasted forward and kept glancing back, I no longer could see the lights.

I saw no object, nothing hovering, nothing moving, just brilliant lights.

The entire incident lasted about 5 seconds, it was foggy. I was moving about 50 mph on a left turn, when I saw the first light I let off the gas. After a second or so I was able to orient where the lights were coming from. I hold a sensitive position with the government and would prefer to not reveal my identity, I'm sorry, but I write this in the hope of finding the cause or helping anyone who may have seen this spectacle. I swear to God I saw this, it was real, I have never seen anything like this.
