What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
It was difficult to tell as it was dark, but there were several white lights which seemed to highlight a circular outline. I Can't be a 100% sure it wasn't just a helicopter, but the outline didn't look like it was a helicopter.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
Yes it hovered for ages, it was really loud
