CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
like a vertical rectangle but wider at the base. looked transparent glowing orange with a 'flame-like' collumn in the centre which was very bright. This is the strange thing, the flame-like thing was constantly moving BUT not in a random fashion, as a real flame would move.
It seemed to oscilate constantly in exactly the same pattern. On approach it looked quite large.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
When my Wife & I first saw it, it was coming toward us from the South-West & it seemed very slow & smooth. After about 3 minutes it veered off in the direction of Leeds which is roughly north of me.
Myself & Wife & Son watched the thing apparently accelerating at high speed, within 60 seconds it was so small it disappeared.

Any additional comments:
There has been quite a few reporting of similar sightings in this area in recent weeks, of which i was very sceptical. This experience has completely changed that.
Could i add, that i have been a keen Aviation & Scanner Enthusiast for quite a few years now & with my limited knowledge of Air-nav, Air Traffic-Control, Radar, Baloons etc, i cannot possibly think that this Object is a bona-fida Aircraft of any type.
