What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
It appeared from nowhere as an orange sphere about 1m in diameter about 3-4 houses highand moved silently and slowly across the night sky. The orange colour twinkled. Then a second one appeared from nowhere in orange to the first one's left but it was slightly higher. Both flashed independently but parallel to each other and at the same speed until they were out of sight. From a distance instead of being a sphere it looked like a sphere with a tail dangling down (a bit like a mushroom or a screw).
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
They did not hover or zoom off quickly but we were shocked at the silence of them both and that they seemed to appear out of nowhere.
Any additional comments:
It moved from east to west. Visibility was excellent, weather conditions dry, clear sky with no wind. There was no light pollution
