Four in total.
Description: Large orange ball each with 1 linear extension and 1 dog leg extension. All 4 in close formation of 2 pairs.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
As soon as we stopped 1 pair disappeared before we were out of the car, the other pair remained stationary and then moved slowly away. We got in the car to follow but as soon as we pulled away they had disappeared
Any additional comments:
There was no sound, the night sky was exceptionally clear and cloudless.
When first spotted we thought that they were lights on top of 2 radio masts but as we live locally we soon dismissed this.
We have a camera phone image that was taken on our sons mobile phone which is grainy but clearly shows 2 of the 4 objects when zoomed in
The sighting was witnessed myself, my wife, aged 41 and my 16 year old son
