SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at in sky over ky

a bright light,small at first,but eventually got larger than 2 city blocks

it moved right over me,i had taken refuge in a bunch of brush,and made no sound at all,i noticed that all the hair on my body was raised,not from fright,but from something about it,it then moved slowly off,but still was in close enough range i could make it out,only thing i noticed is it did change from a oranges color to ain-between,blue-purple color,i kept looking for flashing lights,but there was none. then a smaller light came out of the bottom of it and it was the orangish color,it dropped toward the ground and disaperred behind the tree`s,which was about a mile from me,the other blue-purple light then went out,just like turning off a switch,i could tell it was still there,because where there was alot of stars out i could see it`s outline,which was almost a cylinder shape,i watched this till my eyes hurt,then,it was gone,or i just couldnt make it out,the other light i never did see again. the next day i went to where i thought the light may have landed,but found nothing. i have never seen this again. nor ever figured out what it was or where the other light went?
