CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
Glowing, pulsating orb, roughly the size of a tennis ball. It was a pale shade of blue, though was blindingly bright. it hovered around head-hight, and emanated a high-pitched, fluctuating whine.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
The UFO approached my car and circled the car, only inches from the car. It seemed to stay close to the windows, as if trying to find a way in. After circling the car once, for a period of around 2 and a half minutes, it rose quickly into the air and was lost above the clouds.

I have not mentioned the sighting to anybody, because I do not want to be ridiculed. how normal is this type of sighting?
