SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at Chilterns

Bright white LED like light. Size of a helicopter or small aircraft. Appeared to be diamond shaped although very bright to be able to distinguish clearly. No navigation lights as with aircraft.

Travelled in straight path, horizontally then shifted sideways on numerous occasions. Steady pace. No sound whatsoever and it flew directly overhead at approximately 500-1000ft.

I am in the RAF and this is one of several sightings over the Chiltern area. I have witnessed several as I walk my dog late in the evenings around an open field at the top of a hilltop area where I live. I don't drink and am of sound mind. I can also identify aircraft and the many that fly on the flight-paths around the Heathrow and Luton network.
At other times: My son and I observed an orange glowing object travelling in a similar manner before shooting off at pace. Other people saw this.
I have also seen two separate white objects merge into a larger shaped craft before disappearing into cloud.
All over the recent period of 1 year. 2007/08
As this sighting listed above was over the same period of many in the Buckinghamshire, Shropshire, Cheshire and Merseyside regions at this time, I provide this info' in support of these and not for my own interests, as I do not wish to be identified.
