CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
4 x round orange objects. The size of a tea light candle from where we were standing.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
One was some distance in front of two close together and one other the same distance behind. They appeared to travel from right to left, the front one higher and the rear one lower. The objects seemed to slowly travel along then ascend quickly.
Any additional comments:
At the stroke of midnight new years eve 2008 fireworks were set off. This caused us to look up to the sky. I didn't see any fireworks but noticed these objects. Via the process of elimination I decided that I had never seen aircraft with this colour of light, the formation would have meant 4 planes being in the same airspace and that an mid air collision would have been likely, the objects moved as 'one' and went through the cloud at the same point. If these had been fireworks they should have exploded and would not have been powerfull enough to reach the clouds. The nearest airport to Wickford is Southend.
